Shelter Island - 19th September 2020
Sometimes the weather will just not do as told. Waves and wind increased while we were heading out of the bay so at Bluff Island we decided to turn back and dive in the "sheltered bay" of Shelter Island North.
But for those in the know - Shelter Island is actually a very nice dive! We had several nice encounters including cuttlefish, fingered dragonet, flatheads and lizardfish.
And this time we had this odd situation of a clear layer between the top and bottom low viz area. On this occasion we could actually take some nice people shots - unusual when there are storms above!
